La Casa De Carnitas

ABOUT LA CASA DE CARNITAS

At La Casa de Carnitas, we bring the rich tradition of Michoacán-style carnitas straight to your table. What started as a family passion for authentic, slow-cooked pork has grown into a community favorite, where every bite is filled with flavor, culture, and heart.

Our story begins in Puruándiro, Michoacán, where the owner’s father, Agustin, was born and raised. From a young age, Agustin learned the art of making carnitas from his own father. With time, he perfected the family recipe and began selling carnitas himself, sharing the rich flavors and traditions of his hometown.

Now, that same recipe—prepared the traditional way with only fresh pork and never any artificial coloring—has been passed down for three generations. Today Agustin’s son, Yoan, continues the legacy, following in his father’s footsteps and bringing back the authentic flavors that started it all.

That’s the reason behind the “Since 1994” on our logo—honoring the year the family first began selling carnitas. The same recipe that started with a grandfather and father in Michoacán is now the foundation of this new chapter here, where every bite carries our history, culture, and family tradition.

We take pride in using fresh, high-quality ingredients and time-honored cooking methods to create carnitas just like you’d find in Mexico. From maciza to buche, cuerito, tripa, costilla, and our famous mixtas – you get to choose your perfect plate. And because no carnitas are complete without them, we also serve handmade tortillas made fresh every Sunday.

More than just great food, La Casa de Carnitas is a place where family and friends gather. With a family-friendly atmosphere, outdoor seating, and plenty of parking, we’ve created a space where traditions are shared and memories are made.

We invite you to join us Sundays – We’re open from 9am to 3pm. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to stay updated on specials, events, and pop-up locations.
